Dreams, Goals, Hard Work & Determination

Macaela has had the goal of competing at the World Championships for almost 4 years now, it started back in July 2007 when we attended the North American Championships to watch and support our Assistant Teacher, Courtney Rose. Macaela's eyes were wide open to the possibility of one day not only achieving the goal of competing at the North American level but of an even bigger goal "Worlds".

In seven days that Dream will come true... hard to believe that at 7 years old her decision was already made. She has worked very hard over the last year, attending dance classes 3 days a week for a total of 5 1/2 hours a week and sometimes more. Practicing at home, hanging out with friends doing Core Exercises, making many visits to her RMT (Kevin Hayka) just to be able to make this trip. Missing playdates and birthday parties with her friends just to be able to achieve her goal. She has learnt so many life lessons at such a young age, sometimes too many but it has made her who she is today and it will help her grow through the years.

She is a bright beautiful shining star, we as parents are so proud of Macaela. We know that this experience will be with us all forever and we cannot wait to start the adventure together.

We would like to thank our many friends and family that have supported all of us along the way...your kindness and support has been greatly appreciated. The phone calls, emails, cards, gifts, attending our fundraising events and so much more. We hope you all enjoy following us on our trip and we look forward to sharing with you all our many adventures to come.
